Burton Primary School STEM
$750,000
Project Scope: Burton Primary School STEM
This project involved refurbishing two buildings – buildings four and twelve. It included the demolition of internal and external supporting walls and the installation of structural steel to support the roof structure and the proposed operable walls. Very few internal new walls were constructed, as the intent was to create a ‘village style’ learning area, with segregation of students using operable walls. New flooring, windows, lighting and ceilings were installed throughout the refurbishment. The repaint and pin boards completed the new look. Both new spaces also received a new breakout area comprising of a new timber framed canopy with translucent roofing and an exposed concrete floor. Aluminium-framed doors and windows completed the new space.
