Unley High School STEM (Stages 1 and 2)

$2,000,000

Project Scope: Unley High School STEM Works (Stages 1 and 2)

This project involved the refurbishment of dilapidated classrooms, via complete internal demolition of all finishes, fixtures and services.  New STEM areas for making, thinking and creating were constructed with new internal walls, ceilings and floor treatments with operable walls and aluminium doors & windows incorporated. A new glazed aluminium façade allowed incorporation of the school’s logo, with a new external STEM area formed with a concrete paved area & structural steel canopy. All new joinery was used for the teaching walls containing whiteboards and lab benches & storage.

The second stage of work incorporated two additional lab areas with vinyl flooring, lab benches & storage, cavity sliding door and fume cupboard.  New services were provided in each stage, to suit the revised layouts and purposes.
